Position Summary

Roboteam is looking for a highly motivated / self-starting Electrical/Computer Engineer (ECE). In this role, you will have responsibility for the electrical/computer aspects of integrating and developing new capabilities for our entire line of products and will also be directly involved in resolving any technical issues that arise during the production of our products. You will be given the opportunity to leverage and expand your experience in the creation and deployment of new capabilities for our robotic systems. You will contribute to the development and refinement of best in-class products for the defense and security marketplace.

What you will do:

  • Provide ECE support to design teams engaged in the improvement and refinement of production of robotic
  • Design, develop and debug electrical/electronic designs
  • Develop system test methods to verify operation and performance of new and existing product capabilities. Set up, conduct, analyze and clearly document results of prototype / production testing.
  • Perform root cause analysis and rapid resolution of development and production

What you will need:

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in product development of electro-mechanical systems/components (2-3 years minimum)
  • Power electronics design experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
  • Technical writing proficiency (e.g. test plans, reports, specifications)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet aggressive schedules
  • US citizenship

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Project management experience with small interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience with bus protocols such as CAN, SPI, RS232, and I2C
  • C / C++ experience is a plus
  • Network design and architecture
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Bench Skills: cable fabrication and assembly, soldering (SMT)
  • Experience with unmanned systems technologies including field testing highly preferred
